The Alaska Arctic Chess Club will be hosting a four round Swiss chess tournament at the North Pole Public Library on September 5th, 2026 from 11 AM until 5 PM. This will be in the Multi-purpose room, and will be open for up to 35 players. This is a rated event and will require a current US Chess membership and ID. It will also be an ACF Grand Prix event, and an ACF membership is suggested if you would like to earn ACF Grand Prix points. (This is not a US Chess Grand Prix event.)

Games will be G/25;d/5, dual rated time control.

The schedule will be as follows:

11:00 Setup and check in, as well as brief discussion of rules and regulations

11:20 Round 1 starts

12:30 Round 2 starts

1:30 – 2:00 Break

2:00 Round 3 starts

3:10 Round 4 starts

4:20 Results and cleanup
